Dr. Girishchandra Shah, serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of History, Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra (Gujarat). He completed his bachelor's degree from Gujarat Arts College, Ahmedabad, and his master's degree in history from Gujarat Vidhyapith, Ahmedabad. He qualified for the Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET). Dr. Shah obtained his Ph.D. with a thesis titled - “Shipping and Maritime Trade in Saurashtra: 1500-1800” under the guidance of Dr. Abhay Kumar Singh of the Department of History, School of Social Sciences, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. Dr Shah has published eight research articles in national and international journals and has presented several research papers in state, and national level seminars. He has authored three books and actively participated in several workshops and symposiums. His research area of interest includes Maritime History.
